I am trying to find information on how to use the Categories feature. I would like to have my entries be organized into its category but I would like it to display as the following:

Category 1
- category1_entry1
- category1_entry2

Category 2
- category2_entry1
- category2_entry2

etc…

right now I only able to post the categories without the entries or the entries without the categories. How do you display both together to be organized as this?

I would also like to only show the categories that have entries within them. So if there is no post under that category. It won’t show up. Is this possible?

Check out the category_archive tag - that should do what you want. =)

I was wondering if it is possible to display other fields of the posts in the category archive.

For example. Instead of the title entry I would like to display a custom field I had made for the post such as its “short name”.
