I haven’t actually used the forums in development, this is just from using the forums here.

I have no need for the EE Core, PMPro forums, Lounge, etc, so I collapsed them on the forum main page expecting them to stay collapsed when I returned next time. But the forums don’t remember this, it seems. It’d be nice if this was carried across sessions.

Or even better: add to the User Control Panel an extra option for users to choose if they want to show or not show certain forums/subforums.

You know me better than that, love. I don’t “do” anything. Things just happen.

I just collapsed the pMPro forums as a test and they stayed collapsed even through closing and re-opening a new tab.  What theme are you using, and from your forum titles I think you must mean on our forums? I’m using the default theme and it seemed to carry through.  I have to head to class but I’ll test on the other themes later. =)

Try quitting your browser completely. A new tab retains your browser session, I’m pretty sure.

Also, what would be great is if it remembered this from your login name, not a cookie, so the state would be carried through no matter the browswer, machine, etc. you’re on.

And yes, I’ve only tried this on these forums with the default theme. Seems like this wouldn’t be a theme isssue, though, since it’s code-based not presentation-based.

Ah, now I feel quite silly.  You’re right, of course.  Confirmed, then, sorry about that. =)
