This concerns the PUBLISH page in EE.

Build: 20040615

Mac OSX and IE 5.2 works fine (not an endorsement, just a fact), but with Mac OSX and Firefox 8.0 (my current browser of choice) I can’t enter any content into any of the ‘input’ fields, only the ‘textarea’ fields work at the site I’m working on today.

I can place the curser, and it blinks like it should, but I can’t keyboard or paste any content into the ‘input’ fields. The site’s owner (I’m a sub on this job) tells me that another person had this same issue trying to edit with IE6.

I have permission to log you into the site if you can’t recreate this in your text environment.

Are you sure that the “length” of your custom field isn’t blank/zero?  I think this is a case of the browser being smarter than we are. [grin]

Say… good catch! The max length is set at “0”. I’ll email the site owner and have him try giving the input fields a little more elbow-room.

I just tested your idea in my copy of EE (with a brand new custom ‘text input’ field) and it works. Looks like Firefox actually reads the code! How about that.

As always, thanks for you help with this Chris.

No problem.  It prompted me to put in a new Knowledge-Blog entry, so that’s good.  (More than 20 new entries in just over a week… not bad! [grin])
