There is a problem with the bookmarklet.  If you type in an entry, then use preview, then add some more stuff to the entry, and use preview again, then press submit, you get two entries.  I am pretty sure this is the sequence I’ve used, but will pay attention next entry to see if this is the exact sequence. 

Just tried this with my copy of EE without a problem.  Are you sure you are not hitting the browser’s back button?

I can’t duplicate it now either.  Maybe I hit submit twice, during the long time that the pinging process takes place/times out.

Yes, pings can take a while.  Have you looked at using Ping-o-matic?  It is supposed to accept your one ping and then ping numerous other ping sites for you.

It worked for me, briefly, but now it doesn’t. I can’t get to www.pingomatic.com on the web now either. Maybe they’re just down.
