this is just sad… I was just about to go and enable trackbacks on my site too. 

I’ve been getting linked to by some other sides and decided to go ahead and enable trackbacks.  spent all yesterday morning working on formating how they’d look then I checked the forum and saw all the spam.

Hopefully a viable fix to the problem will be found shortly.

Any idea if the issue mentioned on top is being “repaired”?

I’m still getting the odd trackback spam and finding the entry in edit mode in order to delete the TB is a pain. (It would make it easier if there was a search - I do miss that feature.)

Melo, drop an email to Paul/reedmaniac and ask him for the updated trackback module that puts a handy link to delete trackback spams in the notification emails. This update will be in the next update to EE, but they’re trying to get a 1.1 version ready so it may be awhile before it’s released. If you email Paul, though, he’ll send the updated file to you so you can take advantage of this feature now.

As for the Recent Comments/Trackback problem.  Open up cp.home.php and find the recent_comments function.  Way near the bottom (line 424 in my copy), the query is using COALESCE…switch that to GREATEST.
