Extension Hooks for Query Module?

Are there any extension hooks for the query module? I can’t seem to find them in the obvious places.

Nope, sorry. :(  What are you trying to do?  Perhaps it would be easier to access the database class directly?

I was hoping to write an extension or plug-in that would provide {switch} functionality to the query module.

Just to add, I would LOVE to see the switch functionality in the query module!
