I’ve been checking out ExpressionEngine and it seems amazing! I’m a web developer and I was recently hired to re-do the entire website for my client. He asked me for something very flexible in terms of design and publishing.. so right now i’m choosing between MovableType and ExpressionEngine. For this project I find ExpressionEngine more appropiate.. now the only thing I would need for me to decide is to know if there is a way to import everything from Drupal into ExpressionEngine. They already have an extensive catalog setup with their drupal and copying everything by hand would be too tedious for the time-frame i have been giving.

Hi Carlo, I think the general wisdom is to go from your existing format -> MT format, and then use the MT import utility to import the data. So, if there’s a drupal -> MT script out there somewhere, you might be in luck. There’s some more tips in the Migrate to EE wiki entry, too.

I’ve been searching for a way to import Drupal into MT but i haven’t found anything. I will keep looking to see if anything pops up. Thank you

Drupal has an import/export module, IIRC? Should be able to handle this.
