Well you can just do a site search with Google, but the issue here really is: what would you have searched for that would have led you to this information?  Unless you had seen the item in the code, it’s not likely that you would have stumbled onto it on your own.  Hidden config items are things that we know address a relatively small number of users’ feature requests, almost always as a way to help prevent people from having to hack EE, while keeping others who don’t care or are happy with the intended default behavior from being forced to look at and read about even more additional settings that are possible for their site.  If Hidden Config items are of interest to you, you can always subscribe to the Wiki and will see immediately when changes are made to that article.  If you must, think of these as functional easter eggs.

That should be the default search mechanism then so that I don’t have to do 5 or 6 separate searches for the info

, but the issue here really is: what would you have searched for that would have led you to this information?  Unless you had seen the item in the code, it’s not likely that you would have stumbled onto it on your own.

Sure I would have found it if I had searched (a quick wiki search for “title field focus” found it no problem) it. The issue is that I didn’t know TO search as I didn’t know it had been added as it was “hidden”. Please excuse me if it was mentioned in the release notes, which means I just forgot!!

If you must, think of these as functional easter eggs.

Everything functional should be in the manual. Under an Advanced section maybe? The wiki is for community info, right? Just MHO, of course.

Please don’t mistake this discussion as a complaint, I love what you guys do, I am just in a venting mood.
