Put this lil plugin together to rip words from generated pages, and use the most common for the pages meta keywords.  tbh it’s still in development until version 1 but i figured id let people play around with it and give me some ideas smile

File 1) Version 0.5_rc (left in for historical purposes, please use the latest)
File 2) Version 0.5.1_rc

Thanks,

Very neat idea, but I prefer to select my keywords on purpose my self.

BTW, I believe it definitely needs a caching feature too.

Just having a quick play with it now.

First thing I’ve noticed is that the “Exclude” list isn’t applied to user inputed keywords in the “includekeywords” tag. I think it should be applied. For Example I’m a music photographer so copied a list of bands into the “includekeywords” tag and found that it just added the comma’s after each word. so in my keyword list I’ve got 4 “The“‘s a couple of “of“‘s and some other stuff thats in your exclude list.

I’ll keep playing and see what else I can suggest.

Thanks for the feedback so far, keep it coming smile

@davyd - I can see you point on that one, i’ll be honest with you i hate the exclude word list thing but i couldn’t see an easy way out of not having poor keywords such as “the” and “and” etc..  I’ll make it so that you can include key phrases and not just words eg “the sterophonics, the farmers boys” would keep “the” in both since it is part of the phrase, and afaik (correct me if im wrong) not seen as a duplication.

That would be the other way to do it. and probably a better way. Keeping multi word band names as a phrase rather than seperate rather obtuse keywords,

One thing this plugin has made me realise is i need to use my “keywords” more often in the text of my site.

Keep up the good work and I’ll keep testing.
