It’s a newspaper type site. Major sections include News, Music, A&E, Local Info, with various subsections like so:

News-
  Opinion
  Letters to Editor
  Sports

Music
  Interview
  Hot picks

etc, etc,

I’d like each subsection to have a web page devoted to it, listing the most current article at top, all big and bold, with previous articles listed underneath in smaller type/style.

The question is, what’s the best way to set this up in EE.

Do I do one weblog, with lots of categories? Weblogs for the Major sections (News, Music etc) with categories for each section, Or Weblogs for each subsection. I realize I could do all three, but the goal is to make a webpages for each section and subsection that has an actual url i.e. www.mainsite.com/index.php/articles/news/sports or www.mainsite.com/index.php/articles/music/hotpicks. This subsections would have all hte usual EE features like comments and rss.

So is a weblog of each SUBSECTION the way to go you think?

Sounds like a way to approach it.

I like the idea of a weblog for each subsection, since it’s easier to style that way. Particularily if you’ll have different field groups.
