I’ve been happy to see the move to more a more flexible EE setup with the introduction of the upload_preferences config setting and, soon, the ability for us to keep our third_party folder wherever we’d like.

I’ve been exploring some options to make EE more secure lately and I was just experimenting with dictionary.txt.  It seems that it is required for this file to be placed in the /system/expressionengine/config folder.  Unfortunately, that also means we have to remember to move it when we upgrade. 

It’d be nice if EE Core supported allowing us to determine the paths of all files (however, lonely and small!) that may get overwritten or forgotten when we upgrade!
