http://www.food-force.com is the web site of an educational video game produced for the United Nations World Food Program. Thanks to EE I got it up and running in 2.5 months.

It spawned the following Feature Request.

Wow, creative design Adam.  The menu’s were a little sluggish for me, but that could be my machine.

Thanks, Mike. There was material to take from the game itself, eg, the font and the characters. The menus: sluggish to appear? Or react?

If you notice, there are bits of Flash embedded throughout to continue the game font. That’s using the Inman Flash Replacement technique (http://www.shauninman.com). I’m surprised not to see it in use around the web more as it lets people use Flash to display fonts, at least headline fonts, as they want them to appear regardless of what fonts the user has installed.

I could profer some ideas on why it’s not in more use. *winks*  I like the site.  The menus do load slow but that seems to be by design and just how the animation works.

The whole concept behind the site is just fantastic.  An EE site that is getting worldwide publicity!
