I had most of Macfriendly.com constructed under pMachine Pro when Rick offered the generous upgrade to EE a couple of months ago. I bought the upgrade, but decided against trying to move the site over to EE at this point. Getting it built and launched is enough right now. I will likely make the move to EE in the coming months after things have settled down a bit.
I call it the Mac Friendly Toolchest, and I’m using pMachine Pro more as a content manager than a blog. It was a better, and far less expensive solution for me to get started with, and I’ve been pleased with the ease of use. The pBlocks come in handy for rotating ads, and for allowing me to add a category heading/blurb for each of the 20+ categories on the site.
This site is a bit different than most Mac-centric web sites in that it features 3rd party, pre-screened Internet marketing and home business resources that are Mac compatible. Generally, these areas are dominated by Windows/PC resources, and often exclude Mac users. I search out good resources that are Mac “friendly” and list them on the site.
Basically, the Mac Friendly Toolchest is a personal hobby that got out of control. =:)
