EECI 2010 is closing in fast! Fortunately for you there are still tickets available. In case you need some help deciding if spending time in one of the best cities in the US with the best professional community on the internet hosted by the gracious Robert Eerhart and Whoooz! Webmedia is worth your while, we’ve put together a Top Ten list for you. We’ll post 2-3 times a week until we’ve gone through them all.
Are the transcripts from the various classes/talks at the upcoming conference going to be made available in some way?
Last year every talk was filmed and made available (see http://eeci2009.com/ if you want to take a look), but I’m not certain if the plan is to do that again. You should come if you want to see the talks!
Wow ... I didn’t know those videos existed ... I’m going to suck them up ... and it would be wonderful if the same was done for this year’s conference ... (if I was able to be there I definitely would) ... thanks for the link Derek.
Hopefully you’ll also publicly release 2.0…but that’s probably wishful thinking.
EE 2.0 has been out for months and is doing amazingly well in the real world. Tons of progress has been made. So I suspect you’re referring to 2.1, the first non-beta release.
No promises on what specifically happens at EECI but for sure the keynote will include an update on EE 2.x progress.
For EECI2010 US there will be no videos/slides made available online this time.
However, for those who cannot attend the conference, but not want to miss all the talks and other good stuff coming from the conference, we have a 2-disc Conference DVD available. This DVD contains all the Tuesday and Wednesday sessions + lots of extra footage and interviews.
This -limited- DVD will cost around $125 + shipment costs and will be shipped two weeks after the conference. Pre-order will start one week prior to the conference via the eeci2010.com website.
The DVD will be free of charge for all attendees of the conference.
Great idea with the DVDs, will definitely have to get my hands on those. Wish I could make it to EECI but just haven’t got time and its a long way from NZ! Maybe next time
Is it just me or does it look like someone spilled something on the front of the t-shirt EE is giving away?
Its just a teaser, so Leslie has blurred out much of the shirt. I’ve seen it firsthand, and believe me when I tell you its super cool, and doesn’t look like a spill
Congrats to Ryan Masuga!!!!
...and shame on EL for not doing it themselves
Now that there is one central location for addons I can’t help it but to ask…
1. Will the current add-ons be migrated to Devot-ee?
2. What ever happened to ‘pro network & add-on certification’?
Thanks,
No. First party add-ons will remain listed and distributed at ExpressionEngine.com. Devot-ee is specifically for 3rd party Community add-ons.
2. What ever happened to ‘pro network & add-on certification’?
The Pro Net will undergo a reboot this year. That’s all I can say about it right now.
Add-on certification is unlikely to happen in the way we’ve talked about in the past. We’re committed to establishing ways for individuals and teams to reduce risk to their clients but exploration/research over the last year has shown us that traditional certification is not the best way to do that.
