Please, please, please add CAPTCHA to pMachine! We’re getting flooded with comment spam.

I agree. The spam is coming faster than I can delete it.

I don’t know what CAPTCHA is, but I am getting sick of the large amounts of comment spams.  I’d rather not have to have people register to comment.  Any suggestions?

Thanks Mays.  I’d still like to hear what, if anything, is being done by pMachine to help users control comment spamming.  I love how very easy it is to delete the comment directly for the email I receive, but I am getting a dozen or more a day, and the maintenance is a major hassle.

It doesn’t seem like it would be hard to port over, since they’ve already incorporated CAPTCHA into ExpressEngine. Hopefully we’ll see a patch soon.

I had to disable comments :(  Even adding a comment timelock wasn’t good enough.  I am not interested in a 30-page IP ban sheet.

Don’t disable comments, just turn on user registration for those who want to comment. Then you can screen those who wish to comment on your site.

Did that after I posted that comment.  Still extremely frustrated by this.  I hate having a locked down site.
