On a blog where you cannot comment unless logged in, it can be annoying for users to go to the comments page and scroll to the bottom, only to be told they have to go to another page log in and then come back to leave their comment.

I was thinking it would be much simpler to have the login form integrated into the comment form. 

In other words, if someone is not logged in, simply show a “password” field in the form below “name”, and let the comment “submit” button log them in and post their comment.

In the meantime you could at least make it easier by displaying the login form in place of the comment form if they aren’t logged in.

Are we able to integrate the comment form into a page other than the login page?  A while back I asked about putting it in the index page and the answer was that it wasn’t possible yet.

Sorry, not following you there.  Why would you put the comment form on the login page?  (Though the converse - putting the login form on the comments page - makes sense.)

And, just to be sure: we are talking about pM and not EE, right?
