Hello there,

I’m trying to use CAPTCHAS, but nothing is shown when I active this option.
GD2 lib is installed… path and rights are OK… what I forget ?

permission is set to 777 for the ./images/captchas

Link to test is : YvesMartin.net (in french) or YvesMartin.net/TEST (in english, just for tests)

Thanks.

My guess is you don’t have the TrueType Font option compiled into GD, so it’s unable to create the image.  Go into your Captcha Preferences page (Admin area) and set this to “no”:

Use TrueType Font for Captcha?

I’ve tryed GD and GD 2 with the same results.
How to compile the TrueType Font with GD or GD 2 ? I use the options by default ( and your trueType Font) under EE.

I’ve set “Use TrueType Font for Captcha?” to: “No”

It doesn’t work yet.

I have entered it right, and tried all combinations

directories images and captcha set to 777/writable

Tried (try turning the option off under ‘Admin > Captcha Preferences’)

Image Magick and gd2 installed and working with Movable Type, coppermine, gallery and the album for EE.
- system/lib/words.php file is there

also if I enable logged in members to use captcha I get a file not found when logged in and clicking comments. When the option is set for not logged in, I get page not found when not logged in.

ok path to image magick was wrong, but thumbs still worked. It don’t give a not found error now. What it does is say: enter the number blow etc. but there is no image

Sorry for all the posts, I couldn’t edit and it was driving me nuts.
I deleted database and all siles, and reinstalled. It works now.

I had ftp client stuck on ascii.

It works for me now… in fact, the Fonts was not compiled with GD2, so I have not used this feature.
