I’m sending mail to a moblog and everything is working great, except the category isn’t being set or overridden. I have three categories and I’m using the category ID, rather than the category name. In the moblog prefs I have one of them set to be the default. This is a sample of what the e-mail looks like:

<field:summary>Issue category: Navigation
Assigned to: Somebody</field:summary>
<field:body>This is body text</field:body>
<field:extended>This is extended text
Example URL: http://xxx.net
</field:extended>
<category>3</category>
{status}open{/status}

Also, is there a way to have the entries go automatically to the blog, rather than having to use the moblog module to “check moblog?”

Thanks!

Hm, I just tested that exact content on my EE 1.2.1 weblog with the default category being 8 and the default status as being closed.  When I looked at the newly created entry it was open and had the category with id 3.  I am using the current development version of the Moblog module, but I don’t think I have changed anything in this area for months.  Are you up to date with the scripts?

What do you mean “go automatically to the blog”?

Paul, I’m up to date with the scripts. As far as ‘What do you mean “go automatically to the blog”?’, I mean…
... is there a way to write e-mail to the moblog, then have the entry automatically post — without invoking the the moblog e-mail check from the moblog module? Thanks.

Hm, if you send me an email with CP and FTP access, I can take a look at your moblog stuff and see what is up.

Do you mean something like a {exp:moblog:check} tag that you can put in a template and will check the moblog automatically when the template is called?

Paul,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I’ve been out of town…

>Do you mean something like a {exp:moblog:check} tag that you can put in a template and will check the moblog automatically when the template is called?

Yes, this is what I have in the template:

{exp:moblog:check silent=“true” which=“bugtracker|designtracker|featuretracker|programmingtracker”}

I’ll mail you off-list with access information. Thanks!
