This is a non-EE question, but I know the level of knowledge on here is good and that there are probably several Australia based developers out there. I currently use 123-reg for domain name registration in the UK and found them very good - lots of power of control via their CP and DNS changes etc. are fast to update. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good Australia Domain Name registrar comparable to 123-reg on price and functionality and who aren’t going to go bust and run off with my domain names… ;) (think RegisterFly !) I need to be able to register .com.au domains.

Any tips on a good non-evil company would be welcome.

We used to use http://www.melbourneit.com.au/ but for last 4-5 years we’ve been using http://www.netregistry.com.au/ as our domain registrar.

We always use Digital Pacific for our .com.au domains. They aren’t the cheapest but we use their hosting as well and their support is excellent

GoDaddy every time. They’re generally quite reliable, although every time you order anything they try and trick you into ordering about a dozen other things.
