Hi All.

I’m having a problem with Private Message Notifications not being received by all members.

All members are receiving the actual message, and some people are receiving the email notification, but not all.

I’ve been unable to spot a pattern with the members not getting the emails, and have tried a few methods to try and isolate the problem, with no luck.

It isn’t always the same members, and no error message is being shown.

Is this for your forum PMs or Control Panel PMs.

Maybe the individual member has chosen to switch off the option of receiving email from the admin or from other members of the site.

Hi John,

It’s for the CP PM’s.

With the nature of the site, members are created by an admin, and are then sent their log in details.  They are then unable to change their settings (and I’ve set ‘recieve mail’ as ‘yes’ as default)

Also, sometimes the member gets the notification, other times they don’t.

Are they being “Junked” by their mail service?  What email method are you using?
