I have a client site running EE right now, and they want to set up a new website, running EE of course. I figured this would be a good time to look at the MSM, but I’m confused by the language on the MSM page concerning licensing.

We have a current commercial license for our EE install now. Adding a new site using MSM, does this mean we also need another commercial license for the new site? I’m pretty sure it does, but want to be clear before purchase.

Thanks!

It does not: that’s actually one of the advantages of the MSM. If you have one commercial license, and buy the (commercial) MSM you can add another 2 sites before reaching the (included) limit of 3. No additional EE license as such is required.
