Looks good so far - and I noticed a nice nifty new update of Firebug to match… grin

Good summary of the key changes - https://developer.mozilla.org/en/Firefox_3.5_for_developers and comes with some speed improvements. More HTML5 support than perhaps I was expecting. I guess the comparison grid is a direct response to the questionable on for IE…

HTML5 seems to be creeping up on us web designers/devs real fast now - but I have pretty mixed feelings about that. CSS3 seems great and a massive improvement for a lot of things (really I think it’s a huge step forward) but HTML5 seems like a number of cool features at the expense of some backward steps.

Safari 4, new refinements to Chrome and FF3.5 - it’s been a busy few weeks.

Updated this morning - some nice new features - try typing when a web page laods - down the bottom left you get a quick search function! Extra button for new tab (coz we are all so lazy and don’t want to press cmd/ctr T) and the new privacy feature - now I can make sure nobody knows I read the EE forums! Oh wait…

It’s certainly giving IE a run for its money! My problem is that I get bogged down with add-ons and plug-ins! Some can cause a problem if you’re not careful.

there’ve been reports of a couple problems in FF 3.5 and the google map API.

this thread was the latest with a weird non-caching problem.

I switched over last week but had to revert to 3.0.11 because Firebug was acting pretty sketchy.

I’ve had zero problems with 3.5 (knock on wood) even when I installed the first release candidate—beyond the add-on update lag that we’ve all come to expect, of course.

I have 3.0.11 for Linux on my netbook though, and it’s been crashy since I updated the OS on that one. The update manager on the netbook seems to think it should be able to “upgrade” certain things from Iguana back to Heron but complains because it’s not allowed to do that. I suspect whatever’s goofy there may be part of my Firefox problem on that machine.

Is anyone else having trouble with Yahoo! Mail and Flickr with the new Firefox? They won’t load for me, and if they do at all, it’s very, very slow.
