Lets talk categories here

there are to different “category” archives in my head.
First - the kind I have at my site already. Where posts are listed and grouped By category - My Categories

What I want to have is a listing of the categories. And just the categories with links to a page with the whole page of categories. Is that possible?

Also - while trying to figure out how to write this I’ve found that the links to my categories via my index page, don’t work. The url is incorrect and I am unsure how to fix it. I just upgraded to 1.1 yesterday. I had to change some other links as well, but I am unsure how to change the code so that it matches.

{categories}

filed in : <a href="{path=SITE_INDEX}">{category_name}</a>  

{/categories}

Is what is there now. Is there any place to look for how it should be now with 1.1?

For 1) Do you mean something like this? If so the code is:

{exp:weblog:categories weblog="{current_blog}" style="nested"}

<a href="{path=weblog/index}">{category_name}</a>

{/exp:weblog:categories}

Which brings us to question to - see where yours says path=SITE_INDEX? Change it to path=weblog/index and that should fix it. Change weblog to whatever the shortname of your template group is.
