Hi, if I turn “off” site in control panel I’m unable to view my site even tho i remain logged in as super admins. Any thoughts, thanks Salvo

I’ve also noticed the URL on my control panel is the old temp one given to me in the demo stage. I did update the URL path in gen config but the old one still shows up. Perhaps this is part of the non-admin recognition problem?

Regards your second post, what URL on your control panel are you talking about?  If it is the one with the link title of MyWeblog, you will have to change that under MyAccount in the Admin section of CP where it says Quicklinks.

As for viewing the site when off.  Have you said the cookie domain in your config.php file (or under ‘Cookie Settings’ in the Admin section of your CP)?

I’m having the same problem with a new full install of 1.2. Initially I could view my site, but something I’ve done in the last few hours has made that no longer possible.

I’m a Super Admin, I’ve deleted all cookies from Firefox and IE, and I’ve added “.[domain].com” as my Cookie Domain as per the advice to the earlier poster in this thread.

I think this does have something to do with cookies because for a while I could view my site in Firefox but not in IE6. Now, having deleted all cached info, I can’t view it in either.

Help.  wink

Apologies. Please ignore the above request.

Despite clearing cached data, etc., apparently I really needed to reboot in order to resolve this problem. I can’t imagine why, except that something was still cached that confused EE. Sigh…

Cheers.
