Hi guys,

Is there a way to download EE via SSH? My connections fairly slow and server to server is much, much quicker. If not no worries.

In the installer it asks for Windows or Unix spec. I’m running the dev copy on my machine - Windows - but the server is Linux. Will this matter if I upload my dev version to the live host?

Thanks

There is no direct download link since you need to accept the licence first, but if there’s no other way, you could probably use a command line browser to download EE to your server. I have actually done this with Lynx via SSH at one time (although I can’t remember why).

Don’t worry about moving, all the settings can be changed later as well.

Think i’ll just zip it up and inflate it with ssh.

Thanks anyway,

Yes, that’s usually what I do, too, upload the .zip file and unzip on the server.
