I get this message after clicking update in the update.php file:

Warning: mysql_query(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in /home/pmh1082/public_html/ExpressionEnginePB/harvard1938/db/db.mysql.php on line 252
MySQL ERROR:

Query: ALTER TABLE exp_weblogs ADD COLUMN trackback_use_captcha char(1) NOT NULL default ‘n’

any ideas?

Hmm, strange, my config file was already set to “0” and not “1”. Still getting the same error, and now the weblog is down with the same error.

Any ideas?

Do you have phpMyAdmin to see if the database is up?  It sounds like your database might be down or the username/password is incorrect (have you changed it?).

Actually it was an issue between having localhost listed and not the new dedicated db server name I just moved their databases to.

Ah ha!  To the gallows with ya!

That did it, I’m just relieved to finally have something happen that wasn’t me being unable to figure it out!!
