update wizard error?

I tried to update Expression Engine to 1.1 and got this error message

“ExpressionEngine Update Wizard

ERROR
An error was encountered while performing this update. Please contact
support@pmachine.com for assistance.
“

I’ve emailed the support people but haven’t received anything back. Any help would be great!!

Make sure you uploaded all the files as indicated in the update instructions. And also make absolutely sure your file permissions are set as indicated.
