Here was an EE beast, and quite a bit of fun ;D

To go into a little more detail, I got to implement quite a few gems inside this site. The now-retired Cool Commerce module, which had a lot of promise and one we enjoyed implementing, along with Foxycart. We dropped in a ton of jQuery and tasteful touches of Flash here and there. I know many of you will be curious of our map in the golf courses section. I want to see who can guess how we got that so customized. The media section was done custom with some AJAX and the all-popular JW Flash Player.

Feel free to ask away about any other parts of the site. It took me and a few other designers a few months to knock this out. It was my first EE project and I’ve used it on many, many sites since.

Cool looking site, I generally hate white on black sites but this one works.
Check your cert for the shop section…I got prompted with Plesk cert while still remained on http.

urgh, i’m not sure what’s going on with the Plesk cert… what browser are you running?

I usually don’t build black sites, but Gary Player is “The Black Knight” and one of our requirements was a black site. I do think it promotes his incredible photography quite well.

tis nice… i bet that was a good few man hours and a lot of customisation!
i am getting the same certificate error / problem in IE7 - not no FF3 or Chrome. The error message states that IE is blocking content from this website that has security certificate errors… i could not see /notice anything missing!
Are you including or loading something from the secure site onto the not secure pages??? just a guess? template include, graphic or something?

I enjoyed watching the site more than I enjoy watching golf, so good job! 

Thanks for pointing out the security issue, we’ve finally got that fixed. It seems we were having Foxycart call some images from our server, which wasn’t https and caching those images within their templating system solved the problem
