I have been using EE for a while on my own site. Everything works great.  I started a site for a friend using EE core and I cannot render any of the templates.

I cut and pasted his original html page into the main index template.
If I browse to the url the page is displaying properly. If I make edits to the index template they also show up on the site so I know this page is working.

If I click on the “View Rendered Template” button in EE I get the page not found error 404.

When I first installed EE the default index template worked fine.
All of the paths seem to be set correctly in “General Configuration”

What would cause this? 
Should I not have pasted the html page into the index template?

I should also add that this site is hosted on GoDaddy. I noticed that some other people were having issues with GoDaddy.  How ever I am not exactly sure what their issue was so I am not sure if the same solution would apply for me.

Yackbladder, we don’t offer official support for EECore, but I’ll bet if you query for Forced Query Strings you’ll come up with a few hits.
