Allow site members to edit THEIR comments?

Is there a way to let members (or even non-members) edit their comments.

I was wondering about this Security Setting in Comment Administration
“Can edit comments in ANY weblog entries”

BTW, is there a good overview of each individual security setting?

There is no way that I am aware of. It’s not a supported feature at this point; feel free to make a feature request.

There’s a plugin for this, the Edit Comments plugin. It’s neat, uses Ajax and is pretty darn nifty. =)
