Hi, I’m moving Hosts and need to backup my DB but can’t find any instruction for how to do this and the export settings/tables etc., I should tick in phpMyAdmin. AND then also for how to import.

I don’t recall a step-by-step, though it would make a good wiki entry.  Check this thread for an overview, though.  Should get you squared away on the exporting.  There may be some additions required depending on which version of mysql your current server is on vs your new server- what are the versions?

And in general, if you have command line access, that’s the preferred method.  If not- phpmyadmin should be fine.  Ditto for the install- particularly with a large database.  You might want to ask your host to install if you run into any issues doing it via phpmyadmin.

Make sense?
