Hello,

it’s been a while. I created my first online portfolio almost two years ago. Now, the old site has retired as it was never meant to be a professional outlet but more of online reference of what I had done previously. Almost two dozen months later I’ve decided to jump into the cold water and go the professional route. Still a lot to do and always a lot to learn, but that will never change, will it?

Anyway, here it is.

And a big thank you to Waydie for reminding me that I had forgotten to put my name on my own site. Aging is an ugly process. :D

There are still a few bugs I need to iron out, but I had a deadline to meet, so I launched.

I always liked the old portfolio site too Maleika.
Can you add the old site to your portfolio, or am I missing it there.
It’s still archived here in the showcase then at least.

Yes, I will add my old site to the portfolio. As I was on a tight deadline to launch the site, I did not manage to completely fill my portfolio, so I’ll add more within the next week or so. As I currently only own one commercial license (need to get a few more), I disabled my old portfolio in favour of rockatee. I am not yet certain what to do with the old site. Maybe archivate it and make a proper redirect. I’ll look into that.

A few things -
No Address or Phone number on the contact page?
Also I would put the entry title before the page title in the title bar.

PS. You were born one day after me and we share very similar TV tastes! Blackadder is my favourite but Jeeves and Wooster is not heard of much these days.

That is true. I am still working on those things but they’ll be added eventually.
Thank you for the recommendation on configuring the title bar. I’ll look into correcting it.

Yes, Jeeves & Wooster isn’t as widely known as Blackadder or Monty Python, but just as good, well, if you like Wodehouse anyway.

Very, very good piece of work!

Very nice site. Good solid work, nice layout & typography. The textured look gives it a lot of personality.

If I might make one suggestion, for you to consider in at some stage. You’ve a lot of straight lines. The texture make it feel like there should be more awkward edges, like torn paper etc… I think if you could work in some of the rough edges at the top into the main areas it would make it even better.

Overall though, really nice site. You’re quite talented.
