We’ve launched eCalc.com today.  There’s still some fine tuning but it’s off to a good start.

Some notable features in the scientific calculator:

- complex number support
- equation solver
- base conversion utility
- Algebraic and RPN support (all those who like RPN raise your hand?)

With regards to the site design, this is my first site I’ve ever done using CSS so it’s been a steep learning curve.

We used solspace’s tag module for the calculator store and it worked out pretty nice.

Three cheers for ExpressionEngine!

thanks…

+1

Neat little app, good clean design. Looks rather solid for a first time CSS user.

lol, very clever. I’d like to interview you for the Showcase. If you’re interested, just submit eCalc and I’ll follow up from there. Thanks!

Yeah interesting site, appeals to you “inner math geek”. You might want to purchase the vanity domain eeCalc though (inside joke) smile
Nice job with the advertising being unobtrusive, are you planning to sell calculators?

Thanks for the feedback.  We are going to add in some Amazon links in our store soon (via a EE custom field!).  We are also going to package the calculator into a windows installer and sell it once we get some of the formatting bugs worked out.

Is the calculator built in EE or just the website? I assume the latter, just want to clarify.

Yeah thanks… I’m working to fix that.  It’s due to floating point rounding in Javascript.  You’ll notice it’s correct in the basic version but the scientific code is more complex.

Thanks…
