I setup a folder called “gallery”, and set it to 777 permissions.  I used <?php echo realpath(dirname(__FILE__)); ?> to find the full path.  My settings are right as far as I can tell, but when I try to upload a picture it says “The path to your image library is not correct. Please set the correct path in your image preferences.”

When I FTP into that folder, the images are there, but the entries won’t show up in my gallery.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think it’s a problem with the image library- not the path to folders.  In your config settings- what image library are you using?

Yep that was the problem, thank you!  I tried GD2 and ImageMagic, neither worked, but GD appears to be working.  Thanks for your help!

Hm- quality on GD doesn’t blow me away.  So if you have ImageMagic installed, I’d ask the host for the correct path and try that.  But yep- that was the issue and glad you have it working.  Depending on the quality needed, might be worth discussing the availability of the other libraries with the host.
