I’m trying to link to the member’s profile who posted a comment. So far what I’ve been using that’s failing is <a href="{path=users}{member_id}">{username}</a>. But it shows every single ID in the URL, no matter who posted, as either 0 or 1. I’ve tried {out_member_id} too and it just shows the same thing.

Please clarify.

It looks like it’s picking up the global- which would be the person viewing the page’s id.  Can non-members post comments?  If so, you’ll need a conditional.  Otherwise- try

I’m creating a skin for a client which is turning out to be somewhat of a job on EE (redoing the forums and members module from scratch)… it just seems there’s different tags depending where you are, so all this about an integrated streamlined member process across everything is a little bit exaggerated. Not to hate on EE, I think it’s a great project that hopefully 2.0 makes even better, but it could definitely be easier in that regard.
