The main discussion forum links - “Your Public Profile,” “Your Control Panel,” “Member List” and “Log-Out” all throw errors for me. I’m wondering if it’s a path issue? I’m on shared hosting and not totally sure of the drive path indicated below. The first 3 links generate this error message:

Warning: Forum::include_once(./sys_private/modules/member/mod.member.php) [function.Forum-include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/d/v/d/dvdgopher/html/sys_private/modules/forum/mod.forum.php on line 793

Warning: Forum::include_once() [function.include]: Failed opening ‘./sys_private/modules/member/mod.member.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php5/lib/php’) in /home/content/d/v/d/dvdgopher/html/sys_private/modules/forum/mod.forum.php on line 793

Fatal error: Class ‘Member’ not found in /home/content/d/v/d/dvdgopher/html/sys_private/modules/forum/mod.forum.php on line 796

The Log-Out link generates this error message:

Hi, Erik. Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums.

A few questions for you:

Which build/version of EE are you running?
What about your forum module?

Is this a stock forum template, or have you modified it?

Hi there Sue.

EE version: 1.6.3
Forum module: downloaded today

It does occur with the stock template. While I’ve duplicated and edited a theme, I’ve switched back to the default theme with the same results.

Since you just got the forum module today, please upgrade EE to 1.6.4. They’re tied together.

This is what is in line 793:

include_once PATH_MOD.'member/mod.member'.EXT;

Do you have the file /modules/member/mod.member.php?

Is this the core version of EE by any chance?

You’re the best Sue! Can you tell I’m new here? I had the core version installed. I downloaded and upgraded to the licensed version I purchased. I guess I didn’t realize the core was a limited installation. All is working well now and my problem is resolved. Thanks for your help!

That’s great… Yes, “Core” is our free, non-commercial version. Glad you got it working. If there’s anything else, just start a new thread, thanks.
