DWCS3 + Windows + PC

I use “snippets” to hold EE code and then just insert the snippets. I just give each snippet a nice generic name that I can recognise easily and fill it up with the code,

don’t get any problems - except that DW doesn’t parse the snippets in design view—but then, it doesn’t parse PHP natively either.

No problems for me using curlies using this method

Microsoft Expression Web 2 parses PHP but I haven’t tried any auto-insert with it yet; for general use, there are time I prefer the new Microsoft product over Dreamweaver

Adobe is heading the same path as M$ ...sit back and enjoy the monopoly, ride out the one thing they did good yrs ago, bloat the software.
MacroMedia was much tighter group and actually listened to their customers…

As Visual said it, DW still allows for all kinds of custom extensions but it is really time consuming to build the library of all the tags...then slap some JS powered interface on top of it.

I asked them in the Adobe forums if they supported curly brackets...silent city. zipper  They may have some beef with a CMS not driven with ColdFusion.

Here is also how CDML(filemaker) tags were handled: http://www.lorenzcom.com/LCLDesigns/infocdmltags.htm
for Design View.

This seems a bit like overkill to me.  Besides, these are PHP tags.

Yeah forget about Adobe community and their newsgroups...a cluster of lost ‘customers’ is all.
