Hiya,

Was just wondering if anyone had any ideas as to what the tuncfgd process is used for in OSX. I noticed it in my Console log and it keeps on getting called every 10 seconds or so. I got rid of a tuncfgd.plist file from the LaunchDaemons folder which I was hoping would stop it from loading but it is still there loading in every 10 seconds.

Any ideas what it is, what it is used for and how to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Best wishes,

Mark

“A google of “tuncfgd” leads me to believe your are running something called Hamachi.”

It seems to be Hamachi.

Cheers

Ah yes I had seen that previously but had no idea about that program. Turns out that it has something to do with the LogMeIn software which I did previously install and have just spent most of the night getting rid of that process from the computer.

Downloading the Hamachi installer now and un-installing to see if that does it.

Thanks Markus.

Best wishes,

Hi Markus / Dry,

Well that’s one down now one to go. In my Console I keep on getting this kind of thing going on :

12/06/2008 23:53:54 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.crashplan.engine[6480]) Exited with exit code: 1
12/06/2008 23:53:54 com.apple.launchd[1] (com.crashplan.engine) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds

The Crashplan keeps on loading then exiting every 10 seconds. Any ideas as to that one?

Best wishes,

Mark

Go to the Crashplan site, rerun the installer then run the uninstaller.

Cheers

Hmm that’s weird I’ve never installed that one. Actually I thought that this was the crashplan process that the system uses to report problems to Apple?

Best wishes,

Mark
