Hi!

I had commercial installation of expression engine. Then I installed multiple site module.
I created new site in control panel. I didn’t copy any settings from previous site.

Copied path.php and index.php under new domain. Changed paths. Checked browser and got:
“Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; No Preferences Found”.

Under “Templates” directory it is written: “No Templates Available”.
and I am not able to add new group and template.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

OK, I figure it out! For some reason “Create a New Template Group” button was not green. Just white text, so I couldn’t see that.

Thanks=)

Created new template, but still have the issue “Site Error: Unable to Load Site Preferences; No Preferences Found”.

I’ve read that somebody had the same thing, because of DB access.
Do you have any thoughts?

Thanks!

BostonHannah, can you post what is in your path.php file for your second site?

Here we go

<?php

//———————————————————————————
// DO NOT ALTER THIS FILE UNLESS YOU HAVE A REASON TO

//———————————————————————————
// Path to the directory containing your backend files

$system_path = “d:\apachesites\emqus.com\systemma”;

//———————————————————————————
// MANUALLY CONFIGURABLE VARIABLES
// See user guide for more information
//———————————————————————————

$template_group = “”;
$template = “”;
$site_url = “http://webtest14.inhouse-it.co.uk/”;
$site_index = “”;
$site_404 = “”;
$global_vars = array(); // This array must be associative
$site_name = ‘ecommerz’;
?>

OK, you have nothing specified for $template_group or $template.
Try adding those two items, and try again.

Specified template=“index”; and template_group=“site”;
Still the same error.

You have site as the template group on the initial and the second site?

No, only on the second site.

Think you’re missing the shortname variable in the path.php file as well:

$site_name = 'Site_Short_Name';

Needs to be in there- see the docs for a bit more detail.

Does that do the trick?
