All of us at EllisLab would like to welcome Justin Hurlburt as our new Code Mechanic. Finding our Code Mechanic has required patience. In fact, this is the first that we’ve ever had to advertise outside of the EllisLab Network. After over a month of searching we found Justin, who fit precisely what we were looking for, and there was much rejoicing.
Welcome! I hope you’ll find out what a great product EllisLab has!
No offence intended here but I hope he already knows!
Again well done Justin. Would be nice to see a little more background on yourself. Always nice to know who we are going to be chatting with I’m sure you will introduce yourself soon enough though.
Good luck with dealing with all of us reprobates. After a week you will wish you hadn’t got yourself into this!! Just kidding on that
Thank you everyone! I am extremely excited to be a part of EllisLab. I am very eager to get my hands dirty as the new Code Mechanic. Thanks for the advice Kurt! =)
As for background, well…
I love to program! I started out with Visual Basic 3 making add-ons for AOL years back. I then transitioned into desktop programming, developing with c++ and dabbling in ASM. I eventually moved on to web development. I have since designed, developed, implemented, and supported numerous e-commerce websites. I look forward to putting my knowledge to use in my new position as Code Mechanic.

Justin
I’m sure we’re looking forward to you using your knowledge in this area too!
Justin just answered a couple of questions for me and the feeling I got from working with him must be the same one a general manager of a baseball team feels when the new guy shows up and just starts hitting home runs - he’s quite the code mechanic: simple and elegant in his solutions.
