I was having troubles working with cookies and I tried changing the cookie system setting in EE. Now I’m unable to login to the control panel, I get no error or nothing, just the login screen after logging in.

Any way to solve this?

To be exact, I changed the following settings:

maybe if I knew where these settings were stored in a table or config file, I could manually adjust them again?

I solved it by adding this line to the config.php file

-> $conf[‘admin_session_type’] = “s”;

after that, I could login again and I was able to change the cookie settings back to nothing, and it works like a charm… pfieew

problem solved.

Generally, you won’t have anything in the cookie settings aside from a cookie domain- which is generally a good idea and follows the format .mysite.com- note the leading dot.  That setting insures that when you login with www.mysite.com you’ll also be logged in when viewed sans www.

In case you’re wondering what’s up with it all!  If all’s well, I’ll go ahead and close this out.  But if you still think the cookie settings may need tweaking, let me know.  So- shall I close out, or poke it a bit more?
