Okay people… I have had two EE sites for about 3 months and I LOVE it.  However lately my EE sites have both started to run really slow and take forever to come up.  And this varies… one day they are coming up real fast and the next they slow down to a crawl.  I know I have read some threads about caching on here.  Is there a cache area I need to clear?  Maybe logs?

I am still a newb when it comes to web programming and administration of EE and have learned a LOT in the last couple months thanks to this forum… so I am hoping you can help me with this and let me know the immediate steps to check on the accounts to find out what could be slowing them down like that.  NO changes have been made to my windows 2003 servers since then except a few minor security updates that were mandatory.  No new software has been installed and no updates have been made to my MySql setup.

Please advise so I can get these sites to come up as fast they used to smile

thanks in advance for your help.

Fred

Fred, a link to the site in question would be helpful.

heh sorry I forgot all about that.  The site is

www.coachellamasons.com
www.missionhillseast.com

those are the two projects I am currently working on.

Btw, I went in the admin section and under “util” I found “clear cache” and I cleared all cache… the sites seem to be coming up faster… so was that what was causing the sites to slow down?  I am currently looking into a DNS issue on the serer I have them hosted on to make sure it is not the DNS issue that is causing this.

Again thank you for posting back.

Well, what relationship does www.webrealtysolutions.com have to do with www.missionhillseast.com? The missionhillseast.com site fails to load in a timely manner. If I stop the loading and view the source, I see all kinds of links to www.webrealtysolutions.com.

Webrealtysolutions.com is my main server where the site is hosted.  I have not had the chance to go in and change all the paths to the actual missionhillseast.com site yet… however be that as it may, the site was never that slow before.  now coachellamasons.com has all the right paths set and still loads slowly now whereas just last week it used to come up lightning fast.  I have a feeling there is some little thing I am missing.  clearing the cache on these sites seems to have helped though smile
