Wow, that’s Leslie, Kurt, Kurt’s wife, my girlfriend (surprisingly I do have one), and a distant cousin I can count as new fans this week! Although I suspect my girlfriend is humoring me I’m still counting her. So that’s 5 new fans, bringing my total to 5 all time fans!
Glad you liked it.
I’m still looking for a better name. Originally I had asking4stuff.com as my domain (and it still points to the site), and I was going to literally just write companies and ask for things. You know like, “Dear Dodge Magnum, please send me a free Dodge Magnum. If you do, I’ll write about how cool you are on my website asking4stuff.com, and drive the crap out of that car!” or, “Dear ExpressionEngine, please send me a free prelease Commercial ExpressionEngine 2.0 license. I know I’ll probably never make a dime off any of my sites, and won’t ever touch the surface of what EE can do, but I like to pretend I am cool, I just lack the money to really do this (which is why I don’t have a Dodge Magnum),” or “Mr. Gates, I hope you can send me a free copy of Windows Vista, even though I only use Macs, and have no need for Vista, but I am pretty sure no one else wants Vista, so am guessing you have a few laying about.”
But as soon as I sat down to write the first article, I knew I had something more/different to do.
EE made the whole name change thing amazingly easy. A few field changes, a search and replace, and in 5 minutes, a totally rebranded site. Still don’t like the current name, but am confident once I find on that works, the entire content will be switched over in like 5 minutes.
Oh, and if you will, try to give me a day or two notice before you feature/showcase my site.
