Just a quick question, I am considering buying EE for 7+ web sites… I know there is no release date as of yet but what about upgrade options? I don’t want to buy 1.6 if i have to pay for 2.0. Just a simple question. Thanks for the response.

Hi Jason,

You can find all the available information, including upgrade info, here. Though there aren’t specifics about upgrade pricing (because we haven’t finalized all the details yet) the key phrase is “there will be no penalty to buying before the release”. This means if you decide to purchase now, whatever fee there might be, won’t penalize you for purchasing now (the upgrade fee for purchasers of 1.6.3 is likely to just be the price difference between 1.6.3 and 2.0).

I paid about $140 (I don’t remember exactly) for EE.
Then the official price was $150 (again, I don’t remember exactly).
Now the official price is $99.95.

Which price do you mean to determine the price difference?

Thanks.

Hi Sigork,

The info I posted is all that is available and applies specifically to 1.6.3 purchases. The upgrade policy for older versions of EE has not been determined.

I purchased EE and the MSM. Thanks for the response. I will just fork out the money for 2.0 and address the upgrade options then.
