I’m thinking of using EE for a couple of sites that I’m working on and I have a question about how db username and password is handled… Currently I have a site using php and mysql where the username and password for db access is handled through the .htaccess file and there is a specific user for read access and a different user for updating information.  Is there a way to set up multiple database users in EE where a specific db user can be specified for read/write access?

Database access is handled through 4 lines in config.php - database name, address, database username and password.  That is the username that will be used for all reading and writing from/to the database.
