Upgrade to 1.1 can’t login to cp

I followed instructions to upgrade. No problems were reported. Now I can’t login. It accepts my name and password but just sits there at the login screen. If I saw I forgot my password and ask for a new one it dutifully sends me a new one that I can use but it still just sits there after the login. Any ideas?

Hmm erase the related cookies, and if it doesn’t work,
edit config.php to set this : $conf[’user_session_type’] = “c”;
(cookies only)

Ah ha! Perhaps you accidently removed or copied over the empty version of path.php.

No. I can see the site okay. I just can not get to the control panel. It tells me the site does not appear to be installed.

Did you check to see if your path.php was OK?

Do you need to use force query string?

$conf[’force_query_string’] = “y”;

versus

$conf[’force_query_string’] = “n”;

That’s about all I can think of at this time.

This sounds more like the redirection issues that some Windows-based servers have.  Check out this entry from the Knowledge-Blog, docsmiles.
