I’m stumped – I’ve got permissions set up for member groups, set for each board, for each catgory, all boxes checked.

When I’m logged in as an Admin, it’s all good.

When I log in as one of the users from another member group, all the forums are hidded, even though that member is assigned to a member group that has FULL permissions for all the forum categories.

I’m not sure what I’m missing.

Hi, Camille - what version and build of both EE and the forums are you on?

Also, you are changing this for the specific forums and categories, and not the defaults, correct?

Can you also check what your Forum Status is for each forum?

I just upgraded to v1.6.2 and I’m using Discussion Forum v2.0.0.

I have looked at all specific forums and categories.

Each forum is live.

You are sure that you are logged in as that member during testing, and not as a guest?

Yes, I see the members screen name and group name, which I have set up for if logged in on my templates.

Alright, I’ll need to have a look.  Can you email (not PM):

* URL to this thread
* URL to your control panel
* Superadmin ID and Password
* One of the forums that has busted permissions, and the member username you’re testing with.

You said that you edited the permissions for that category, but the username that you gave me was in group CSSP - and CSSP can’t view the category, so can’t view the forums inside the category.

Wow – I did not see this window!  I totally thought I was looking at every single permissions window there was – How did you get here? because I cannot tell exactly from the screen shot.

This stumped both myself and the client.

On the Forum Management page, you’ll see a list of forums.  The header column that says Forums - that’s a category, click “Edit” in that blue row.

OK, I see now!  Totally missed that, of course!
