Oh, the world of running my own business…  Client this, client that… ugh!

Anyway, it’s at the top of my “desires todo” list and keeps getting bumped down my “have todo” list.  The templates are complete from an EE integration standpoint, but I need to clean up some things before releasing them into the wild.

If all goes well with finishing up this one project today and a bit of paper work tomorrow, I should have the weekend to spend on it.

Anyway, thanks for your patience.

I’m interested, too. I may start developing my own based on the same idea, but I really like the possibilities this lays out.

We use PROJECT minder project management software from PH-Media.

It’s a very accommodating bit of kit which can be fully tailored to your specific industry.

We use PH-Media’s project management software - PROJECTminder.

It’s web based and is tailored to suit specific industries and so benefits us greatly as we take from it exactly what we need to.

I’m not one to continue making false promises, so, like Ellis Lab, I’m not going to give an ETA.  I do apologize for that, but my clients have been so demanding lately that having the free time to wrap this up has been impossible.

Having said that, it looks like today through Sunday I will be working on this project trying to pull something together to release into the wild.  I will be asking your help to test it out.  Once everything tests out, I will post a final version for download.

If this project gains traction, I would like to continue to evolve it because I see plenty of opportunity to expand on what it currently is.

I for one would love to contribute $ to the development if this works well!?

We’ve been discussing project management systems on Twitter, and complaining that this isn’t done yet.

I badly need to choose the right PM tool.

On the 5th of October, Activecollab is releasing Version 1.0 priced at $199 for small business (they’ve changed their original ridiculous pricing plan)

There is still CopperProject at $499 basic “standard download” price

Basecamp isn’t the right choice for me:

Clients don’t want their personal data on someone else’s server AND Basecamp doesn’t offer multilingual support for international clients.

Then of course, i could try using EE, just like Sue Crocker does, and Stephen, in a much more ellaborate way.

Maybe we could “donate” some time to Stephen hey !

Do you have a link to the new ActiveCollab pricing? I don’t see it on their website atm.

I’ve got this email last night from Ilija Studen himself, looking at the number of “cheesed off” old members, i’m sure he won’t mind me sharing this info:

Details are not online yet (entry needs to be prepared by our writer),
but there are two packages - Small Biz and Corporate. Small Biz is
$199 and Corporate is $399. Unlimited everything (users, clients,
projects, tasks, tickets etc), full source code and all that jazz.
Difference is in features that ship with the versions - Corporate have
advanced plugins while Small Biz have only the basic ones.

Take care…

No I’ve been checking almost daily, there isn’t much by the way of hints on the forums either :|  My guess is that perhaps they themselves haven’t even decided…

Ooh no sooner said, that looks fantastic. Have they decided to scrap the idea of a free version?

re. free version ?

I have no idea, other than what Ilija wrote.

$199 seems a fair price if the application is stable.

Anyway, the copy isn’t out yet, so i won’t hold my breath.
