I’ve had the same issue since upgrading to 1.6. I opened it up and noticed the class name is lower case. I thought those were supposed to begin with a capital letter? Well, at any rate, I couldn’t see what the issue was!
I just put this on my 1.6 install and i’m having the same outcome as the previous 3 posters; it doesn’t seem to have any effect on the publish menu anymore.
Sue, thanks for the heads up.... I’m going to upgrade as soon as I finish this site.
Mark, that extension works great, but I noticed if I click the “publish” button, the weblogs are still visible in the menu. They’re gone from the dropdown, but not the actual physical menu on the publish page. Do I need to use your “static page” extension to get rid of that?
@earph nope, the static page extension will not affect the publish page at all. I chose to not have the publish page affected as a last ditch way to get to a weblog, even if it’s hidden. When I upgrade this extension to 1.6.0+ I’ll probably implement a setting that also hides the weblogs from the publish page.
I just downloaded a fresh copy of 1.0.3 and installed on 1.6.0 Build 20070918, and it isn’t hiding my “Static Pages” weblog from the list. I thought this was fixed for 1.6, so the only thing I can think of is an extension conflict. Here’s what I have installed:
Does anyone have a Hidden Weblogs plugin that works with 1.6.1? I really need to disable a couple weblogs from showing in the dropdown (can’t go so far as to delete those weblogs) but can’t seem to get them hidden - at least with this plugin. Has anyone tweaked this one?
I know someone else was working on another version of “Hidden Weblogs” that was 1.6.x ready - not sure if that one is still being worked on.
