I have just finished install of EE using your install service and now would like to start building my site.

I have found your control panel user screen www.myweblog.info/system

user name should be admin and password was reset.

I have tried to cut and paste them durectly from the e-mail and can not get into the control panel.

HELP please.

I read something about deleting the intall file after installation, I do see the intall file still in the root directory.

If this was all installed for you and the id and password are not working, then I’d have to suggest that you contact the installer to find out how you can gain access. =)  Alternitvely, if your email was used, you can use the “forgot password” link to make sure you are using the correct one. =)

Update to original question, when I input user name and password at the log-in screen it does not give me an error it simply stays at the same screen.

I used the password recovery and it sent a new password to my e-mail. As I said earlier the user and password were cut and pasted to eliminate the possibility of mistakes. The system still does not let me into the control panel.

There is no error when I submit the information so I assume the system is not set up right.

InterMLS,

If you are having problems with a paid installation I would suggest that you contact whomever installed it for you.

The only thing I would make sure you check on your end is that you have no problems with accepting cookies.  You might be having a problem with a security program that blocks cookies, and that’s worth checking. =)

InterMLS, are you on a Windows or Unix server?

If you are on a Windows server, see the following KB article:

I can’t log into the Control Panel on my Windows-based server

But really, Lisa is correct, you should contact the person who installed it for you.

Are sure you sure you are using the username/password for the EE install (and EE-CP)?
—————
I had a client I installed for get confused over this after I set everything up for them at pMachineHosting…With that install, there were three different sets of username/passwords…
1) The email server
2) The web/ftp server
3) The EE-CP
—————
But, I agree with LisaJill and Sue that it’s really an issue for your installer.

I could get used to people continually saying that they agree with me.
